Available bikes

Ridley Astr RS carbon gravel bike with SRAM Force 1x13 and DT Swiss 45 mm wheels, for rent in Oslo
Gravel · Carbon

Ridley Astr RS

A fast, light gravel race bike with serious tire clearance — the 45 mm rubber rolls quickly on tarmac and floats over rough gravel. SRAM Force 1x13 gives a huge gear range without the complexity of a front derailleur, so shifting stays simple even on chunky terrain. Best for mixed-surface days when you want to move fast over almost anything — racing, big gravel loops, or chasing your mates.

  • Size S / 54 cm — fits riders up to ~180 cm
  • SRAM Force 1x13
  • DT Swiss carbon, 45 mm tubeless
  • Garmin mount · no pedals
Dare GFX black carbon gravel bike with SRAM Force eTap 2x11 and DT Swiss 40 mm tubeless wheels, for rent in Oslo
Gravel · Carbon

Dare GFX

A versatile, comfortable carbon gravel bike with wireless SRAM Force eTap shifting — press a button to change gear, no cables to fuss with. The 40 mm tubeless tires grip on loose gravel and stay fast on tarmac, and the slightly larger frame is forgiving on long days. A solid all-rounder if you want one bike for gravel adventures, mixed-surface rides, and easy weekend rolls.

  • Larger frame — fits riders up to ~180 cm
  • SRAM Force eTap 2x11
  • DT Swiss carbon, 40 mm tubeless
  • Garmin mount · no pedals
3T RaceMax carbon gravel bike with Shimano GRX Di2 2x12 and CeramicSpeed components, for rent in Oslo
Gravel · Carbon

3T RaceMax

3T's flagship gravel race bike, built to be fast first and adventurous second. Electronic Shimano GRX Di2 shifting and a CeramicSpeed-upgraded drivetrain mean every pedal stroke turns smoothly into forward motion. Best for events, sharp group rides, or anyone who likes their bike quick and snappy — less the bike you'd load with bags for a week, more the one you bring when you want to be fast.

  • Frame size M / 54 cm
  • Shimano GRX Di2 2x12
  • DKBike Gravel Wide, 40 mm tires
  • CeramicSpeed OSPW & bottom bracket
  • Garmin mount · no pedals
Dare MA-AFO carbon road bike with Shimano Ultegra Di2 and DT Swiss 50 ARC 1400 wheelset, for rent in Oslo
Road · Carbon

Dare MA-AFO

A modern carbon road bike with electronic Shimano Ultegra Di2 shifting and 50 mm-deep carbon wheels — fast on the flats, eats up descents, and climbs willingly. The geometry is racy but not extreme, so it stays comfortable for long days in the saddle. Best if you're sticking to tarmac and want to ride at pace — pair it with the road group at Oslo Dawn Patrol or a long loop along the fjord coast.

  • Carbon frame size M — fits 165–178 cm
  • Shimano Ultegra Di2, 11-speed
  • DT Swiss 50 ARC 1400 wheelset
  • No pedals

Routes from Oslo

Hand-picked road and gravel routes starting from the pickup point — from quick coffee loops to all-day adventures.

Nordmarka gravel loop

A full day in Nordmarka, Oslo's iconic forest. Roll out north from Grünerløkka along the Akerselva path, then climb up into the woods for a long, scenic gravel loop with serious elevation. Best for fit riders chasing a proper big day — bring food and water.

Nordmarka deep loop

The longer Nordmarka loop. Pushes deeper north into the forest and around the Spålen-Katnosa Nature Reserve — quiet lakes, pine forest, almost no traffic. Plan for a full day in the saddle with packed food and water; the further you go, the fewer places to refill.

Classic Oslo gravel loop

The classic local gravel ride — what Oslo riders do after work or on a relaxed weekend morning. Heads north from the city into the lower edges of Nordmarka and back, with steady but manageable climbing. Around two hours moving time, so a perfect first taste of Oslo gravel without committing to a full day.

Follo road loop

A flowing road ride south of Oslo into Follo — smooth tarmac, rolling farm country, much less traffic than the routes near town. About three hours moving time with around 1,000 m of climbing, so a balanced mid-distance day. Coffee stop included: Stasjonskafeen in Kråkstad, a small station-side café that's a popular stop for local cyclists.

Find a group ride in Oslo

Oslo has a friendly social cycling scene. If you'd rather not ride solo, here are two great ways to fall in with locals.

Oslo Dawn Patrol

An open, all-levels social ride that has become something of an Oslo institution. The road group rolls out at 05:40 sharp — that's not a typo — from Dyvekes Bru by the skatepark in Gamlebyen, a short ride south along the Akerselva path from the Grünerløkka pickup point. Two pace groups so you can pick your effort. The gravel ride leaves from Brekkekrysset and heads up into Nordmarka for a proper climb — easy to reach from Grünerløkka along the Akerselva path. Helmet and lights required, no fee, just show up on time.

Frequently asked questions

Booking, pickup, and what's included.

How do I book a bike?

Use the booking button on each bike — every bike is listed on two platforms. listnride works for international visitors and accepts standard cards. Hygglo is the Norwegian platform and requires Norwegian BankID to verify your identity. Choose whichever fits you; the bikes and price are the same.

Do I need Norwegian BankID?

Only if you book via Hygglo. If you don't have BankID — most international visitors don't — book through the listnride link instead. listnride uses normal card payment and ID verification.

Are pedals included?

No. All bikes come without pedals, since serious riders prefer their own clipless system (Look, Shimano SPD-SL, SPD, Speedplay, etc.). Bring your pedals with you, or message me on WhatsApp before pickup and I can usually arrange a flat-pedal set if you need one.

Is a helmet included?

A helmet in size medium is available at no extra cost. If you wear a different size — or want a helmet you know fits well — I recommend bringing your own.

Where do I pick up the bike?

Pickup is in Grünerløkka, a central Oslo neighbourhood just north of the city centre and directly on the Akerselva river cycling path. Easy to reach by tram (lines 11, 12, 13, 17, 18) or a short ride/walk from Oslo S. The exact address and meeting time are shared after booking is confirmed.

What's the minimum and maximum rental period?

Both platforms support rentals from one day up to several weeks. Daily rates apply for short rentals; weekly discounts are visible on the listnride and Hygglo listings.

Is a deposit required?

Yes — a deposit is held during the rental period and released when the bike is returned in the same condition it was picked up in. The exact amount and how it's collected is handled automatically by listnride or Hygglo when you book.

What if the bike is damaged or stolen?

Both listnride and Hygglo provide rental insurance as part of every booking — coverage details are on each platform's website. You're responsible for the excess. Always lock the bike when leaving it unattended (a lock can be provided on request).

Which bike should I choose?

If you're staying on tarmac, the Dare MA-AFO road bike with Ultegra Di2 and 50 mm carbon wheels is the fastest option. For mixed surfaces, gravel paths in Nordmarka, or longer adventure rides, pick one of the three gravel bikes — the Ridley Astr RS on 45 mm tires is the most versatile, the 3T RaceMax the most race-oriented, and the Dare GFX a comfortable all-rounder. Frame size guidance is on each bike card above; message me on WhatsApp if you're unsure.

Pickup location

Grünerløkka in Central Oslo. Easy access via public transportation and just a 15 minute walk from Oslo Central Station.

Exact meeting point is shared after booking. Both listnride and Hygglo handle the booking; choose whichever you prefer — Hygglo requires Norwegian BankID.
